Lucy Cookson is a multi-faceted artist who works in watercolor, oil, hand-embellished digital prints, mixed media and needlework. She is also the Founder, President, and Creative Director of Thimbelina Needlework Design and Collection in East Hampton, New York.
Cookson’s works have been featured in numerous group exhibitions and she has been the recipient of several awards including an Honorable Mention by both the East End Arts Council and Guild Hall’s Members’ Exhibition.
The artist is a graduate of Duke University and, as a Trustee of Guild Hall, she sits on the Artist-in-Residence committee, providing opportunity for collaboration conversations and partnerships with regional artists as well as with cultural institutions. Cookson also serves on the Board of Visitors at the Savannah College of Art and Design.
